About

CrossLink aims to connect young adults through the cross of Christ

Because of the need for young adults to connect with each other and connect with God, CrossLink was developed for the Winchester community.  CrossLink is a monthly alternative worship service targeting young adults in their twenties.  These events are meant for all churches and local campus students to participate and will entail multiple forms of praise and worship in an open and safe environment.  The events are always Christ-focused, giving young adults a positive message, along with a unique worship experience.  CrossLink has a diverse leadership team who prayerfully considers the course of the ministry and intends to assist in carrying out the mission of the ministry.

We Believe

Scripture

We believe the Bible to be the inspired and authoritative Word of God. (II Timothy 3:16-17)

God

We believe there is one God who created the world, redeemed it in Jesus Christ, and renews it through the power and presence of the Holy Spirit - three expressions of our one God (John 1:1, John 10:30-38)

Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ who gave up His life on a cross to save us from our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day, and we believe in His personal return in power and glory.  (Colossians 2:9, I Corinthians 15:3-8, Romans 5:8, Mark 13:26-27)

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.(Acts 2:38, John 14:26)

Salvation

We believe that salvation and making a decision and commitment to follow Jesus is made possible only through the grace and mercy of God.  Once we have committed ourselves to Christ, we are in the continual process of becoming Christ-like, maturing as Christians, to be the body of Christ, and the kingdom of God here on earth. (Titus 3:5-7, Ephesians 2:8-9, John 15:8)

The Church

We believe the Church is the expression of the new community which Christ died to establish on earth. The members are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ and regularly gather for encouragement, fellowship, worship through the teaching of the Scriptures, the observance of the sacraments, and the disciplines of confession, repentance and prayer. (Acts 20:28, Acts 2:42-47)

Unity

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 12:13, Ephesians 4:3-4, John 17:20-23)
